A few things. Life/feature.

Fri Sep 19, 2008, 8:00 PM
Hey all, hope all is going well... There are a few reasons for my slow responses in the last week or so. Apart from work (a few extra shifts) and spending time with my girlfriend/friends, i have been rather busy ;P

Firstly i suppose, yesterday i got my 4 wisdom teeth out... still aching a little but that is to be expected. Hopefully i will get time to see all your new deviations while i am recovering.

Secondly, i have been running around organising entries for Newcastle's annual "Mattara photographic comp"... Been around for years apparently, but its the first i have heard of it :P

6 entries were allowed. They had to be printed and matted, all with less than a weeks notice. First real time I have gotten anything printed, and first comp i have entered, so it will be interesting to see how it goes. I submitted the following:

:)

Enough about me... A little feature, the following photos i love the light in :)

Feel free to check out the rest of their gallery as well :)

Peace out y'all

I think that's a great selection for the comp - I hope you do well [and I'm sure you will too]!

By-the-by, which ND filter would you recommend: 2, 4, or 8 - for photos like your sunrises?

Thanks mate... I would probably recommend the 4. It seems to be a nice happy medium. The 2 is a little to light, and the 8 sometimes a little to dark, especially when it is a fairly sharp(?) fade between light and dark :)

That's what I was thinking - a nice balance between the two. Cheers :D

Good luck with the competition. I guess you will be looking forward to a steak soon after all that jelly and custard. ;)
